Year 5 enjoyed a very exciting overnight trip to ‘Herts Young Mariner Base’ last month.  With a range of outdoor and adventurous activities on offer, plus an overnight stay at the neighbouring Youth Hostel, the children had a wonderful time.

In their activity groups, they all had a go at Rock Climbing, Abseiling, Bell-Boating, Kayaking and Caving. The children were so brave, resilient, kind, supportive and adventurous, and we were so proud of them all.

They slept in bunk beds in lodges with their friends and ate in a giant canteen where they could enjoy a variety of pastas, salads, puddings and a huge, cooked breakfast. The classes were fantastic and the staff were very impressed with them all.

We all came home exhausted but pleased and proud to have been on such a great trip away together!
