UKMT Junior Maths Challenge Posted: 23/05/25

The aim of the UKMT challenges is to encourage a love of problem solving, as well as to advance participants’ Mathematics education.

We are extremely proud of our talented Mathematicians in Year 6 who joined the Secondary students for the Junior Maths Challenge. UKMT’s National Maths Challenges are aimed at the most able Mathematicians and over 700,000 students take part each year.

The questions are in an interesting and different format to those students normally tackle in their GCSE and GCE qualifications with the top 40% of students who enter receiving a Bronze, Silver or Gold certificate. Some of the most successful candidates are invited to follow on rounds with tougher challenges.

The aim of the UKMT challenges is to encourage a love of problem solving, as well as to advance participants’ Mathematics education.
