The visit inspired the children to think about how their own choices can make a difference and how they can take responsibility for caring for the world around them.
Year 4 had an exciting trip to Whipsnade Zoo, which perfectly linked to their rainforest topic and their learning about responsibility for the planet.
As they explored the zoo, the children discovered different animals and creatures, such as Lions, Flamingos and Rhinos. They discussed how humans have a shared responsibility to protect these fragile environments.
During the day, they also attended an engaging talk on how to tell if an animal was an omnivore, herbivore or carnivore. The visit inspired the children to think about how their own choices can make a difference and how they can take responsibility for caring for the world around them.
