Year 6 Globe Theatre Trip Posted: 30/01/26
In January, the children in Year 6 were fortunate to go on an unforgettable trip to Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.
Our fantastic tour guides shared fascinating insights about the theatre and told us about its history, construction and interesting facts about it from the 1500s to today! Did you know, for example, that it was built on the Southbank of the Thames because of the strict restrictions, rules and regulations on the north side of the river at the time.
After our tour, the children enjoyed a practical theatre workshop, bringing Shakespeare’s famous lines to life with freeze frames and then acting out a famous scene between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth.
The Year 6 children were very engaged, beautifully behaved and we all had a thoroughly enjoyable day out!
