A Level Art Life Drawing at The Wallace Collection Posted: 16/10/25
The A Level Art and Design students were extremely lucky to participate in the very first collaborative Art and Design trip across the Academies Trust. Students from Wren Finchley, Wren Enfield and SMSJ were given the opportunity to be taught about paintings within the collection by a specialist art historian.
Students investigated the human form and how it has been portrayed by artists in the Renaissance and Rococo periods. They were then able to undertake a range of drawing tasks in the galleries with some students then putting their observations into practice by participating in a guided life drawing class, drawing from a life model.
The students produced some fantastically skilled observational drawings which will be submitted for their coursework component.
