Year 7 House Church Visit Posted: 7/11/25

All our Houses are named after Sir Christopher Wren Churches

On Monday 13 October and Friday 7 November, Year 7 students, accompanied by their Heads of House and other members of staff, headed into London to visit their House Church and St Paul’s Cathedral.

It was a great opportunity for students to explore and learn more about the Church in Central London that their school House is named after.  All our Houses are named after Sir Christopher Wren Churches: St Mary-le-Bow, St Andrew Holborn, St Martin Ludgate, St James Piccadilly, Clement Danes Strand and St Stephen Walbrook. St Paul’s Cathedral was also designed by Sir Christopher Wren.

A few Year 7 students reflected on their day:

I think the day was great and very memorable. Ella B, 7 Bow

The Church trip changed my perspective on Christianity for the better. Aarav D, 7 Bow

It was really enlightening to learn about the connection our House Church has to the Royal Air Force. Harrison P, 7 Strand

When we visited St Paul’s, we thought the ceilings were majestic. Dorsa G and Delilah S, 7 Strand
