A Level History Conference Posted: 21/11/25
On Tuesday 18 November all our A Level History students attended Education in Action's conference at the Emmanuel Centre, London on Weimar and Nazi Germany.
There were talks on topics ranging from Fake news, old elites and Hitler: why the Weimar Republic collapsed, to Hitler's Volksgemeinschaft (National Community): inclusion and exclusion, to Where did all the Nazis go? The end of the war and Denazification, which were all led by leading historians in their field.
There was also a talk on achieving A Level success. The highlight was the talk from Sir Richard Evans, possibly the most pre-eminent historian on Nazi Germany who spoke on Coercion and consent in Nazi Germany.
All the sessions were very informative and will be extremely useful in the students' A Level History studies.
