French School Visit Posted: 24/04/26
We were delighted to welcome a French youth football club to Wren for our fourth annual French Exchange Day. The visit was a wonderful opportunity for students to share cultures, practise language skills and build new friendships.
During the day, our Year 10 students took part in conversations with the French visitors, helping them practise their GCSE speaking skills in a real and engaging setting. At lunchtime, Wren students made the group feel extremely welcome in the Restaurant, where conversations quickly turned to favourite football teams and life in England and France.
The day ended with a friendly football match between the students. After a spirited game, Wren celebrated a fantastic 4 - 0 victory, well done, Wren!
This exchange programme began several years ago through a connection with a school in France and has continued to grow each year. Many of the visiting students come from areas where opportunities to travel and experience different school environments are limited, making days like this especially meaningful.
Thank you to all students and staff who helped make the visit such a memorable experience for everyone involved.
