Welcome to the Wren Academy Sixth Form
website. Since opening to our first Year 12 students in 2013, Wren Sixth Form has rapidly established a reputation for academic excellence, great study support and a rich and varied extra curricular programme. Furthermore, we have quickly proved our ability to help students achieve their ambitions by gaining access to the best university courses and employment opportunities.
Wren is unashamedly a school sixth form. We recognise that sixth form students expect and deserve much greater levels of freedom and responsibility than was the case when they were in Year 11. It is however important to us to make sure that our sixth formers are known as individuals and given the support and structure which will help them to succeed at A Level and beyond. The quality of relationships between members of the Academy community is one of the key things that sets Wren apart from other schools.
Each year, Wren Academy students achieve some outstanding A Level results. We are consistently successful in preparing students for Oxford, Cambridge, Durham and other prestigious universities. Increasingly, a significant minority of students are considering graduate apprenticeships and have proven successful in their applications. We are committed to preparing students for the next step, whatever that might be. Often, alumni return to provide guidance to younger students, whether that be in preparing them for Oxbridge entrance exams or simply to share their career journey and provide some useful tips. The close relationship that so many students retain with the Academy is testament to the rich academic and community culture that we create in order for our young people to become the best version of themselves.
