Year 4 Trip to West Stow Village Posted: 4/04/25

To start our topic about the Anglo Saxons, Year 4 had a fantastic trip to West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village.
The children explored the reconstructed Anglo-Saxon houses, watched a boat being carved from a tree trunk and learned more about what daily life was like. After lunch, we visited the museum where some of the children enjoyed dressing up in traditional clothing and we all tried to work out the purpose of different artefacts.
The trip deepened their understanding of the Anglo-Saxon era and sparked great curiosity for our ongoing topic.
