Wren Academy students have been awarded some outstanding A Level grades after what has been a very difficult year with calculated grades being issued by examination boards in place of examinations.
Students have been offered places on a wide range of highly competitive degree courses at some of the best universities in the country.
27% of all grades achieved were A*-A with over 82% of all grades being A*-C.
Some of our highest performing students achieved 2 or more A* grades:
Tamo Hafel achieved 3 A* grades in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. He has gained a place at the University of Exeter to study Medicine.
Theo Michail attained A* grades in Further Mathematics and Mathematics and an A grade in Physics. He has gained a place at the University of Warwick to study Mathematics.
Asra Yaghoubi achieved A* grades in Politics and Psychology and A grades in English Literature and Persian. She will be studying Law at Kings College, London.
Petros Cowley attained A* grades in Further Mathematics and Mathematics and A grades in Politics and Physics. He has gained a place at the University of Warwick to study Mathematics.
Oscar Hei Leong achieved 2 A*grades in Further Mathematics and Mathematics, and 2 A grades on Physics and Computer Science. He will be studying Computer Science at UCL.
Ilia Siaka achieved A* grades in Mathematics and Physics, an A grade in Chemistry and B grade in Further Mathematics. University place to be confirmed.
Reina Nakaya attained A* grades in Japanese and Product Design, and an A grade in Mathematics and a C grade in Biology. She will be studying Physiotherapy at Brunel University.
Jessie McClymont – achieved A* grades in Extended Project Qualification and Biology, an A grades in Chemistry and a B grade in Mathematics. She has gained a place at Imperial College to study Medical Biosciences.
Sian Logie- attained A* grades in Geography and Extended Project Qualification, an A grade in Mathematics, and a B grade in Physics. She will study Physics and Astro-Physics at the University of Sheffield.
